Barney is the owner of Tenleytown Trash. Barney has DC small business is in his blood, as his father owned Friendship Pharmacy in the 1960s, an old-fashioned drugstore complete with a soda fountain and lunch counter. After high school, Barney graduated from Syracuse University where he studied Dramatic Literature. He soon returned home where he worked in the DC government before starting his own builder/developer business, and eventually Tenleytown Trash out of the back of his personal pick-up truck. Barney works almost every day of the year, but when he isn’t working, he is coaching basketball for a Special Olympics team, spending time with his sons, exploring DC’s theatre scene, and rooting for the Nats. Barney is a Washingtonian through and through. He was born and raised in DC and is a proud graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.
